New Help For
the #1 Public Health Problem -Toxin Overload
By Theodore D. Hall

It is now generally recognized that environmental toxicity is the
#1 threat to the public health.
The problem
afflicts even countries that have shown, historically, great respect
for the environment. "Our basic necessities for survival,"
writes the president of a Japanese hospital, "such as water,
air and food
have all become highly toxic."
Environmental
toxicity is a result of the industrial and technological revolutions.
These revolutions have opened the door of plenty, and that is important.
"Enlightenment follows on the heels of plenty," it is
said, "not on the heels of poverty."
Enlightenment
often brings unpleasant as well as pleasant realizations. So it
is that we have come to see and experience, the reality that human
bodies pay a heavy price---in disease and suffering---for major
technological innovations that are contra naturam---against nature.
If we dis-ease nature, we children of nature become dis-eased as
well.
I call the
basic disease we are all subject to "toxin overload."
When this condition becomes acute, our organs of elimination---skin,
lungs, liver and kidneys---become overloaded to the point of exhaustion.
The final step, after overload, is overwhelm---at which point our
bodies are open doors to any and all diseases coming down the pike.
Crisis in Allopathic
Medicine
Western medicine
is built on the pathology paradigm of Pasteur, who viewed disease
as the result of invasion of the body by microbial antigens. What
is the remedy for such an "invasion?" Attack the antigens
with anti-antigens, i.e., antibiotics.
This approach
has certainly proven helpful in countless cases, but it has also
proven problematical, the major problem being, unless eliminated
completely, the invading organisms develop a resistance to antibiotics.
This process is called "evolution."
Consider the
case of tuberculosis. If you were a citizen of New York City in
the nineteenth century and developed tuberculosis, the recommended
therapy was fairly simple and effective. You would go to Saranac
Lake in the Adirondack Mountains and follow a regimen developed
by Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau. You would breathe clean air, drink
pure water (lots of it), eat pure food (sparingly), and exercise
moderately. After following this (detoxification) program for a
month or two or three, you would arise one morning to find yourself
"fit as a fiddle."
Tuberculosis
nowadays: Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the prisons
of Russia became incubators for a highly virulent stain of tuberculosis
that is resistant to all but the most extreme antibiotics, i.e.,
antibiotics whose medical descriptions are followed by five pages
of side-effects.
Former inmates
of these prisons, many of whom, carry the virulent stain, are now
mingling freely in the cities of Russia and indeed the cities of
many countries, including the United States.
If these carriers
were motivated by a desire to destroy other people, they would be
classifiable as "terrorists." In effect, they are terrorists---unwitting
bio-bombs created by the pharmaceutical industry.
Is allopathic
medicine facing a crisis? You bet. Now for the good news
Eastern Science
to the Rescue
You may think
of your feet as pretty, or ugly, as functional or dysfunctional,
but chances are you have never thought of them as toxic waste dumps.
"Toxic
waste dumps? What do you mean by that?"
Toxic particles
are borne about the body by the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems
until they are disposed of in one way or another. When the body's
"security forces" fail to detail and eliminate the toxins,
the rascals wind up down in the feet. The reason is simple: The
arterial system, assisted by gravity, is efficient at down-dropping
free toxins. The venous system is inefficient at moving the particles
uptown.
Do you sense
the presence of a therapeutic opportunity?
If so, you
are correct. That opportunity was seen and exploited by Japanese
medical researchers who invented what is called (generically) "kinopatches,"
based on the principles of foot reflexology.
"Kino"
means tree sap. We're not talking raw tree sap, of course; we're
talking pyroligneous acid---the technical label for wood vinegar.
In the Orient,
wood vinegar has been used, traditionally, as an insect repellent,
an antibacterial agent, sterilizer, alkaline wash, food additive,
and deodorizer.
These Japanese
researchers found that when wood vinegar is turned into a powder
(in a packet) and applied to the soles of the feet, it acts as an
extremely effective absorber of toxins.
The kinopatches
were tested in half a dozen Far Eastern countries, then put on the
Japanese market. Practically overnight, the kinopatches business
became a $30 million dollar-a-year industry. Financial success is
always a very good indicator of product effectiveness.
Scientific
reports on the kinopatches (now coined K-Patch), are not yet
available in English. However, a very impressive anecdotal record
is available. The K-Patches are reported to have assisted in the
alleviation, or termination, of such conditions as chronic pain,
rheumatism, gout, skin disease, kidney and liver problems, heart
disease, blood circulation problems, coldness, periodontal problems,
and on and on.
For me, the
most important anecdotal evidence is my own. Under the guidance
of J. Paris, co-founder of K-Patch.com, I applied K-Patch
to the soles of my feet for a period of one week. I hoped to alleviate
a pain problem in the left foot (which my physician suggested might
be the beginning of gout).
Sure enough,
my clean white K-Patch were transformed, night after night,
into dark greenish, sticky, muddy, foul-smelling items. After four
days, I felt no pain in the left foot---even when I walked around
in floppy shoes. Was I impressed? You bet.
Help for Allopathic
Physicians
I feel confident
that the K-Patch will soon be as popular in the United States
as they are in the Far East. Without doubt, the alternative health
practitioners will lead the way in the discovery of this new "gift
to mankind from the trees." However
It might well
be that the allopathic practitioners would follow close on their
heels --- if they're smart. The allopathic professionals are well
aware that when they prescribe pharmaceutical drugs, they are putting
their patients at risk for "side-effects" due to toxicity.
By recommending
K-Patch to their patients, the risk of unwanted "side-effects"
may be substantially reduced. Indeed, the patches might prove, in
some cases, more helpful than the prescribed drug or drugs!
And, needless
to say, the more toxin-free the patient, the happier he or she is;
and the happier he or she is, the less likely it is that he or she
will bring a malpractice suit for real or imagined injuries.
Will the foul
smell of used K-Patch translate, in American medical practices,
into the sweet smell of success? We'll see. I, for one, am very
optimistic.
PS: There is a nineteenth century Western pathology paradigm which
supports the idea that detoxification is the key to health renewal
and longevity, but this paradigm, which was developed by the French
biologist Anton Bechamp, was totally eclipsed by Pasteur and his
supporters. Those interested might consult Blood and Its Third
Anatomical Element (1912), which is available through Kessinger
Publishing and Amazon.com.
